ABOUT
Hi, I’m Adole Muruako—a licensed professional counselor with a Ph.D. in Health Outcomes and a B.S. in Biology.
My passion for mental health developed over time as I worked in underserved communities and witnessed firsthand how unaddressed emotional and psychological challenges can impact overall well-being. Alongside my own personal healing journey, these experiences led me to pursue a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Over the years, I’ve conducted research on chronic disease, led health promotion initiatives in the Mississippi Delta region, and taught evidence-based community health courses using nationally recognized curricula.
Today, I bring all of that experience into the counseling room. My work is grounded in the belief that emotional and physical health are deeply connected. I’m passionate about integrating holistic, somatic, and evidence-based practices to support meaningful healing—both for individuals and within broader healthcare systems.

Counseling Practice
In your pursuit of well-being, I offer an integrative approach that blends Somatic Experiencing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)—all grounded in compassion and curiosity. These modalities invite a gentle, embodied awareness of your internal experience, supporting you in recognizing that your deeper emotions are often wise, adaptive responses—not problems to fix or suppress.
Whether you're navigating the lingering effects of trauma, the daily weight of stress, or the complex relationship between emotional and physical pain, this work is about honoring your experience—not pathologizing it. Healing doesn’t mean forcing change; it means creating space for you to feel safe in your own body and life again.
You don’t have to do this alone. I’m here to listen deeply, to support without judgment, and to walk alongside you as you move toward greater clarity, regulation, and self-trust. Your healing process is uniquely yours—and I am honored to hold space as you rediscover your inner capacity for resilience and restoration.
